Prayer for Peace
God of Peace, in this time of turmoil, we turn to you with hearts longing for peace. As fear grips us, we ask for your blessed assurance. Keep us close to your Son, whose first Easter greeting was one of peace. We ask this in His name, the Prince of Peace, who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.

Pope Leo XIV Prayer Intention for October
Pope Leo invites the faithful to pray that believers of different religions may work together to promote peace, justice and human fraternity. He urges cooperation that goes beyond dialogue, encouraging concrete steps toward reconciliation and solidarity. In a divided world, interfaith celebration is a powerful witness - shared service through prayer, dialogue, and acts of charity can build trust and foster peace.

Prayer for Our Veterans
"Almighty God and Father, creator of all mankind and author of peace, as we are ever mindful of the cost paid for the liberty we possess, we ask you to bless members of our armed forces. Give them courage, hope and strength. May they ever experience your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing. Be their power and protector, leading them from darkness to light. To you be all glory, honor and praise now and forever. Amen."

Prayer for Vocations
"Heavenly Father, through all generations, You have chosen men to serve You by sharing in the Holy Priesthood of Christ, Your son. We beg You to call men form our diocese to serve as priests at the alter, and to send Your Holy Spirit to help them discern Your call. Give them understanding to know Your will and courage to follow it. Pour out, too, Your grace upon women from our parishes to serve You in religious life, formed after the model of Our Blessed Mother. We ask this through our eternal High Priest and King, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Back to School Prayer
Loving God thank you for the rest and relaxation we enjoyed over the summer. Today we pray for our children as they begin a new school year. Bless them with joy at seeing friends, exciting new experiences and a love of learning. Watch over all who learn, replacing fear with joy, anxiety with peace and tiredness with energy. Grant teachers the wisdom, patience, and joy in serving their students in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
