Prayer for Peace

O Lord God, we pray for peace and love in all the nations among all the people.  That all wars and hatred will end.  We pray for those who suffer from war, injustice and intolerance, for the children, young people, the poor and neglected ones.  We pray for peace in our life, lands, nations families and in our hearts.  Lord, give us world peace.  We ask your mercy in the name of our Lord, Jesus Crist. Amen.

Prayer for Vocations

"Heavenly Father, through all generations, You have chosen men to serve You by sharing in the Holy Priesthood of Christ, Your son.  We beg You to call men form our diocese to serve as priests at the alter, and to send Your Holy Spirit to help them discern Your call.  Give them understanding to know Your will and courage to follow it.  Pour out, too, Your grace upon women from our parishes to serve You in religious life, formed after the model of Our Blessed Mother.  We ask this through our eternal High Priest and King, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

2026 ACA Bulletin Announcement Update

As of May 5, 2026, 30.65% of our parishioners with both churches combined have donated.  Thank you for your support of the Annual Catholic Appeal which provides funds for many of the pastoral, educational and charitable ministries within the Diocese of Norwich.  As we embark on our 2026 ACA, One Faith, One Family, we thank God for the strength and love we have received from him during this past year, when we, relying on our ONE FAITH, have uplifted our brothers and sisters in our ONE FAMILY.  There is still time to donate!  Our campaign year ends on December 31, 2026.  If you would like to make an additional gift, donation envelopes are still available within the church, or you can contact the Development Office at (860)886-1928 or go online to www.norwichdiocesedevelopment.org.  Please give prayerful consideration when contemplating your sacrificial gift to the appeal.  The future of our ministries depends on it.

Furnace Fundraiser at Lourdes

For almost 150 years Our Lady of Lourdes has been a cornerstone of faith in our community.  Together we have worshipped, celebrated and supported one another.  I am reaching out to you to be a part of an important initiative to preserve and enhance Our Lady of Lourdes Church.  Our beloved church building has served us well, but our heating system is in urgent need of replacement.  The furnace in the basement is over 20 years old and has deteriorated quite a bit.  We have been told that it needs to be replaced and that the estimated cost is $15,000.  While this is a significant undertaking, I know that when we work together, we achieve great things.  I prayerfully ask you to consider a special donation to our "Repair and Renewal Fund" to help us reach our goal.  You can use the special repair envelope located at the entrance of the church and place it in the collection box.  Your donation will directly support our efforts to make a tangible impact on the furnace replacement.  On behalf of myself and your fellow parishioners, thank you for your generosity and commitment to our faith community.  Fr. Ben.
